alot of roller paint jobs will use white spirit , thinners it rather angry so will melt the rollers faster and upset any underlying paint jobs
try a tiny amount to make sure its working as you want
it never sets /cures....where 2k is a chemical reaction and sets within a few hours celly doesnt , put a wet thinners rag on it and it will come off
i agree with sand it back to the epoxy , anything else will be hard work /chance of more problems
yeah i get you ,
options are brush on 2k epoxy , it will cost pennys , sand it smooth later /pay someone to sand it smooth
buy a compressor and gun and mix small amounts , shouldnt hurt too bad
have you spoken to a painter that will happily go over your prep , not many will if they do good...
cant have it all ways can you ? you either want the benefits of 2k epoxy or you dont
throw on some cheap 1k stuff and do it twice when it fails
most of us on here paint our own cars so dont worry what the man will say
got a church goer /supporter in the street , in daylight walks the dog up the fields , i kept seeing our front security light go on about bedtime and caught him stood there letting the dog do its business right at my gate so i banged on the window and pointed , he wont look at me now lol
alot...
why not brush on some 2k if worried about not using up a whole can , once theres enough for a can full sand it smooth and rattle can on a smooth coat
not really sure why its sold , needs to be 2k to get all the benefits
i was thinking measure it? if i mark where it fits in the vice jaws , then say it points up 7 deg , maybe a plumb line onto the floor , havent got alot of scrap to be making anything usefull
i
i want to cut off the silver part and replace it close as possible , i cant easily work on the car
all i can think off is mark how its in the the vice and use a digi spirit level to record the angle it kicks up at , it also kicks off to one side not sure how to measure that
any smart...
for small touch ups i measure the jotun with a disposable spoon , seems near enough and never had issues with it going off
mixing the stuff once its been standing , now thats a chore
