I'm on a policy with unlimited non power mods anyway, I just tell them what I've done and they add it onto the policy document. Doesn't change the price
Following this I mocked up my new switch panels just to make sure they fitted, they do....so I'll probably get on with welding up the cut lines tomorrow after I sort out one of the other cars for MOT
Will also be getting the gearbox mount sorted out too, that means I can take it up and down...

Been a while since I updated....if theres some sentences that don't quite make sense its because its been copied over from somewhere
Got the rad hoses cobbled together, stainless pipe and off cuts of rubber hose
Will eventually replace the bottom hose with the proper 429 one as that way...
Engine mounts arrived today and its all set and ready to go now!
Means I can make up the trans crossmember and hopefully have it driving by the end of the month....maybe
Apparently my steering wheel puller was ridiculously over engineered! So now I've got a hub puller en-route thats obsolete.....
But it means I've got the hub off, timing cover off, old chain, cam and lifters out and the new Thumpr back in plus lifters and a nice roller link chain :)

New carb arrived today :) and the new cam! Went to the machine shop to check on the heads and they should be back together for Tuesday so its all looking good :D
Summit order just turned up
Just need to remove the water pump from the car and drill/tap the rear crossover pipe (its rotten) to a 3/8th NPT fitting so I can plug it up. I'm not running a heater or anything like that so its not much of an issue...
Few nice little additions to make use of too...
Progress wise.....heads off, machine shop re surfacing them and removing broken exhaust bolts and the stud extractor I snapped off in one of them :vsad:
Blocks been cleaned with 800 grit, wiped down to remove grit, greased to prevent any rust and sealed up with some sheeting, fuel pump bracket...
mines been fine, andy at rapid explained the higher settings are for indoor low light conditions so if you're in the sun or outside all the time like I am its far too sensitive on those

Andy is who I dealt with when I bought it anyway, I bought the first one he had on the shelf, its a nice filter for sure but I think they should have sorted out the 3-5 issue before sending them out
