I am not familiar with the G1700 but wouldn’t think the problem is with any of the safety switches as I think you should have power to the dash & ignition lights anyway. I think the seat switch brake pedal switch & the switch for the rotor only stop the engine cranking.
Definitely check the fuses before digging too deep. We have the GR 1600 & it likes to blow the 10 amp fuse when someone insists on trying to start it with a flat battery.
If this is for minimal use unloading or occasional shifting stuff I wouldn’t worry about it being either electric gas or diesel. Basically you want to be looking for general wear and tear which should reflect the hours the machine has done Like engine & transmission. Then your insurance will...
Not sure if you have steel z purlins or if you have timber purlin but you will need to make up the difference in height on the side with the 40mm sheets with a 60mm spacer. Which should be simple enough but thought I should point it out.
Don’t forget to factor in a bit of reserve air for your air fed mask and for example a 6 mm nozzle will increase in size as it wears. That said if you buy one of the 100cfm compressors and you find it isn’t big enough it will always sell again.
I think the compressor you have put in the link would run an 8 mm nozzle & your breathing gear, @brightspark should be able to confirm this. Other thing to look for is moisture separation, I am sure my compressor manufactures water as well as air.
I recently dug out a large stump by hand in a rear garden for some one. The access was very bad & no chance of getting any machines near it, once removed I rolled it to a fence with a couple farm jacks & we had it lifted over the fence with a crane . Don’t underestimate how difficult a large...
Had a similar situation. We spoke to the power company, they came out shut the power off & earthed the lines while we removed the tree. In our case the tree wasn’t a risk to the power line as it was leaning away so the power company wouldn’t actually remove the tree but didn’t charge for turning...
I am impressed with how this has turned out. I was going to make one for a machine a few years ago but got offered a second hand ripper, just had to fit a new tooth and change the head stock to match my machine. I think it came with 3 new teeth at the time but it is still on the original one so...
Handy to drill a pilot hole for straining posts as long as the auger is smaller diameter than the post then kick the soil back in & drive the strainer with the post driver.
