I do vapour blasting and am looking at a small chemical set up to strip some previously powder coated parts . I do know that a local wheel refurb firm chemical dip then blast to etch the wheel prior to coating ..

Has anyone here had a go at soda blasting ? I know it can be a messy job but would be interested to set up a wet / dustless system , possibly to use in a cabinet . Anyone ???

Thanks for replies.. The piston compressor is fine with the vapourblast cabinet just runs out of beans with the dry blast. T b h the dealer that sold me the dry blast cabinet said I was just in the minimum requirement and he was right. The dry cabinet is used if the parts like m/cycle cases etc...
I am using a 33 cfm (fad) new Abac piston compressor for vapour blasting, I want to link a 2nd tank for a better back up if possible as the compressor kicks in and out often. Will it be a worth while addition if I add a 200 litre tank?
I also use a pressure fed blast cabinet (dry) and it soon...
Looking at getting into vapour blasting ,, but I will also need a bead blasting cabinet ( commercial quality) anyone her use them, do I need one with extractor unit ?? I am seeing all sorts for sale. Any advice ?? Thanks in advance
Hi, yes I realise it is 3 phase, and the manual should be present. It is in the workshop gathering dust at present. The bloke that does the welding is old school, tidy welder but he doesn't do technology well, he uses older style machines and does a tidy job so why change ( his thoughts)
Would the Murex Transtig 203 is machine be a bit complicated for an absolute beginner to tig welding. As mentioned in previous posts I have used mig and stick also gas welded and brazed in the past. I know of a Murex coming up for sale which has hardly been used. Thanks
