Seems UKHS had words with the manufacturing side in more recent times. I've got one of these and it works like a dream, used a friends Clarke 220MIG and the results are virtually identical.

Hello all, Just getting into MIG welding and I'm looking at the Clarke 90EN as a starter unit, can anyone advise if this is a decent unit to get started with or is a different one more suited?
Cost wise the 90EN is very reasonable (if Machine Mart is anything to go by)...any help would be...
MIG initially, probably for a few year whilst I get my bearings with it all (and get better finances saved - saving to move to Whitby too) then I'll step up to TIG too.
A gent I spoke to at work said TIG is a much stronger weld compared to MIG but that'll come in time.

To be fair it was starting to get that way too, with the costing/value of certain items it was getting very cost prohibitive. Justifying £65.00+ for any given locomotive was becoming a bit ridiculous.
