Just an update for you chaps, after many frustrating emails and one to our factory in France finally my mail was picked up by one of the industrial managers turns out that they no longer make this ratchet and have a new design so they sent me the new ratchet that's brilliant but shouldn't have...
Just to chuck my opinion in we use the evolution to open 25mm holes on the side of chassis on our pushback tugs as part of a service bulletin it not the top of the range mag drill but after 35 units all over the uk no problems and a never let us down .

Just need to let off a bit of steam, I have a facom 3/4 drive ratchet k152 (big deal) the locking detent has broken (not a ball like others) simple I hear you say get in contact with Stanley b and d who own facom and get another?

I'm lucky the company supplies mine but I have got my own in the past and if your not worried about shiny stuff try silverline they do some nice matt sets and never had any problems but snap on it's not.
Did a bit of service work on hydrovanes many years ago they had a really good service department in redditch worth a talk with they also had good overhaul kits with everything you need.

Hi Rich sorry it late but might be some help, I've been welding on some heavy plant (aircraft loaders) they have a main PLC and canbus (blows my mind too) all I do is make sure that the earth is as close as you can get to the weld .
Gent's had my GYS for sometime, got it because it had a euro torch and could be used with flux wire, so far we have a set of gates and just made a BBQ today (out of a gas tank)!
Might be French but works very well good replacement for the clark!
