Thee link below is the product that I used on the entire shell as recommended by my local paint supplier.

It's the reason I didn't use any sealant, as a rally car I expect the arches to need replacing at some point. If I had to replace all 4 I wouldn't fill the rivets either, looks just as good with the rivet heads showing.
I plan to underseal inside the wheel wells and arches so this will seal any...
It'll be a one piece prop, be a long time before it gets fitted and I'll be dry fitting everything before painting, so if it does foul then I'll cut it out.
Started to work on the doors, the passenger door has already had a new door skin at some point in it's life and is okay other then a few minor repairs, but the driver side is original. The repair that I did to the bottom of the frame has warped the skin slightly and there is also some rot so I...
Got around to zinc priming the shell today, only the underneath left to zinc.
The primer shows up all of the areas that need attention, especially where filler has been applied.
If there are any good painters living around the Pontypridd area that want to earn some cash to tidy up the filler...
Although it might not look as if the shell has progressed, only those who have taken the underside of a shell back to bare metal with just a wire wheel in an angle grinder and drill can appreciate how much time it takes, and how dirty a job it is..:dizzy:
I've also sanded the the rest of...
Good luck with your build, I too looked at other build threads to get inspiration and ideas so thought I should do the same. Neil has probably already advised you to use Rally Weld as Sean is very helpful and his parts are a good fit.
I swapped over the engine mounts today and the shorter mount doesn't work on the passenger side, the engine sits further back towards the bulkhead.
I swapped it back to the long mount on the left and then modified the gearbox crossmember so that it would fit the large gearbox tunnel.
The crossmember bolts are fitted but the chassis tubes I've welded in are the threaded type. I might use the bolt and nylock nut method though for better security.
