Local Citroen or Peugeot main dealers may have something similar. There were all sorts of that kind of thing in the fixings rack in the dealers I used to work in.
There's also a ceramic based grease, ceratec. And the mounting consoles are available aftermarket oe quality, cheaper than the dealer IF you get a sales advisor that can work out the part numbers, both from the dreaded Euros.
Keep the same size rims. You need to drop the width and increase the profile to keep the same rolling radius. Maybe a 265/50 or 255/55.
Scratch that. 255/50 is only 8mm different on the rolling radius
Sorry but I got to disagree about Clarke kit and I think most here would as well. For a DIY user they are more than adequate. And probably for light professional use as well tbh
I've been looking here for my C5 110HDi
www.hdi-tuning.co.uk
Haven't taken the plunge. Yet.
Prices seem good and I've read some good I dependant reviews, and also from some of the techs where I work, a Citroen Peugeot main dealer
Might have to swing by Tescos in the morning and see if I can find a piece of scrap plate for the bottom of the bucket.
Gotta avoid the house tomorrow. Birthday pamper party going on. 5 8 year old girls having hair and nails one ain't my idea of fun and my 5 year old son seems fairly keen to...
Well, as part of a very slow ongoing project, I needed to derust 2 trailer wheels.
Looking on google, it suggested washing soda. Couldn't find any in my local shop, and tbh couldn't really be bothered with driving round yo find some. The wife would have killed me running round on my daughters...
Good quality 075 or a 100 would be my choice. Something branded instead of cheapy cheerful though.
500 ish CCA should do it. It's more the grunt to start you need to worry about than the amp hour, alternator should supply enough to run the rest once it's started.
Actually is quite weighty. I'd guess around 150 kg or so. It's only ever gonna be towed with at least 2 and usually 4 bikes on it. Just want to try and make it a bit more manageable to move about, it's gotta go on its side to get in and put of the back garden through a side gate.
Same as anything really though. If they WANT to find something to ticket you for they will.
Hopefully when I'm finished it will look sensible at least.
What does everyone think about where I want to chop out though? Like I said it's only gonna have 4 bikes on it
Ok. Does anyone see any issues with chopping out at the red lines? Then I'll probably end up welding 2 cross bars roughly roof bar dimensions to mount 4 bike carriers to.
Well, just picked up an old motorbike transport trailer. Tidy sum of 35 quid
I'll be posting some pics soon for advice as to how much I can actually chop out to get the weight down a bit. Probably gonna need some advice how to size wheel bearings and caps as well
