Just been testing a parafin gun to see for myself
TBH at about 6.5 bar the spray back isnt too bad, even only an inch from item being sprayed.
Think it might be ok, maybe put a couple of side splash back panels on it.
ah right, i suppose a second hand dishwasher for the shed may be a better idea, or an air powered pump instead?
or i have a spare drill? could get one of those drill pumps?
or moving away from air power just an old car leccy fuel pump?
I know this has been covered before but I had an idea, and people please help me if this is wrong or right!
Been after a parts washer for a while and intend to make my own (i know they are cheap but i want a custom one and cheap as poss!)
Ive been looking at making an air powered one as I...
thanks for all the good advice!
ill have a further read up as well before i take the plunge!
expertvillage.com has some great welding theory and practical videos
How do,
I learnt to MIG weld last year and I thought id have a go at ARC as well. My 90amp MIG is fine for doing my mini etc but I fancy a cheapish arc for gates/few other projects
What AMP's is needed for arc welding 4-5mm mild steel? And what size Rods as well?
How do, im about to start plug welding some sills on my mini after seam welding/butt welding the required patches on inner sills.
Anyway ive been practicing on scrap and they look good, but what power settings/wire speed would you recommend. Ive heard its max power with slower wire speed...
Actuator opens the wastegate (backup exhaust so to speak) when pressure gets to a certain level to stop the rotors in supercharger/turbo spinning too fast
Ive just realised thats the Midget charger kit from Moss Europe!
Costs a fortune lol. Im making a manifold myself using an old mpi...
Im building a supercharged mini as well mate!
One question for you, your eaton m45, where did you get the inlet manifold from? Fabricated or did you modify an existing manifold?
bought one of these compressors today, ive been using a 1.5 draper 24 litre one up until now, ahem 'borrowed' from work. the powercraft one is much better. we'll see over time how it fairs. bin the quick connectors it comes with tho and get some standard ones from machine mart
.
I can agree, gasless is too hot for bodywork. I bought a 90amp clarke gas/gasless dual purpose (Thought Id get dual just incase) On my mini, even on the lowest setting i was still blowing holes in bodywork. Switched to gas and its fine now
Hi there,
I fancy a Clarke 151TE Turbo MIG, however, ill be welding outside alot so gasless needs to be an option for me.
I got this reply from a seller.

Yes, it can, although not marketed as dual purpose. I checked with the manufacturers to find out the difference, and been...
