I went for Metzeler Z6 Roadtec's - seem to have good reviews and were a reasonable price, the 18" rear wheel on my trident is not such a common size.I'm a big fan of the PR4 GT, but more because they're good on the road than good on the tyre changer
View attachment 87775 These are the pair that were easier to fit than bicycle tyres, unbelievably so hence keeping the labels as a reminder. Tried my changer on the spare 185-R15 Avon fitted to a Jensen Interceptor recently, the bike bar was no good so used levers and it worked a treat. Getting the new tyre on the bead was hard work as mentioned previously and a bigger bore hose directly on the valve did the job. Took the other four in to get them done and they had a harder time with their machine!
Bill I've done a lot of agri tyres and that sidewall repair scared me. I might dig it out and take a photo as its sitting unused at the back of the barn as a "emergency only get out of jail" tyre. I remember before I put it in the van I deflated it a bit to try and lessen the risk of it going bang while driving home. I'd taken it them because they had a cage and were the professionals, no way I would have taken the gamble he took.

Yes. I'm intrigued now, why do you ask?is that on the inside of your garage door?
Think they will be my tyre of choice when my Speed Triple goes back together.
