Picked up this lately.
1962 lincoln sae 300.fordson major driven dc generator.
2 dials on the front change amps and volts independently.
Ticking over like a mouses heart (kinda)
main generator isnt getting voltage from the exciter
Self exciter only pushing out about 1/10 of the voltage its supposed to be, so I need to get my electrician hat out and start measuring invisible stuff.possibly shorted exciter coils, or lost residual magnetism, maybe commutator problem idk.
Rad needs changing, but got a donor machine for half the cost of a new rad.
dynamo doesnt appear to be working but not looked too hard at it yet
Needs bodywork stuff obviously, but that wont worry me till its putting out the blue lightening.
