Hello, first post,
When I switch on from cold it does not want to feed at all, some fiddling with the speed control gets it feeding, then I run some wire through and turn the speed up and I can start welding though it doesn't feed very smoothly till I have been welding a while.
So once I have done 10"-20" of weld it is feeding too fast and I have to slow it down.
I have new brushes in the motor and the rollers are all good, I think there is a fault in the variable speed drive card and maybe the drive motor gearbox is stiff as well.
It is the old style machine with the square top.
Any ideas? is this a common fault? best place to get spares?
Thanks, Kev
