Hey, I have always left welding to either the pros or a mate who is more skilled than me!
Unfortunately I don't want to approach my mate as he has done numerous favours and I have yet been unable to return them
I find myself needing the chassis leg welding on a 306, quite a sizeable hole
However at the same time I also need the rear towing eye replaced on my 106
Both cars are without mot at present, although the 306 is in that 10 day period.
So I thought about a mobile welder!
One said my car was too new
One said my car was too old
One said "it only sounds like £100 of work, it's far for me to travel" (15 miles)
So I am thinking of giving it a go myself, I will be welding outside. I don't have anywhere inside to weld. Can anyone suggest a suitable welder?
I was thinking of the Clarke 90 or maybe something else under £200
Thanks in advance Alan
