With you with JJ cale ..
I have tried Radio 2 whilst in the garage but to be honest its hit and miss if they play music I like.
And if it happens to be a weekday I have to get to the radio to turn it off before Jeremy Vine comes on, what a gigantic waste of airtime he is ! Personally I would prefer if they got his brother to present at least I can watch him when he does his comedy !
Music wise I am very varied in my tastes :
Pink / Evanescence / Metallica / Prodigy / Carly Rae Jepsen / Lady Gaga / Sum 41 / Fall Out Boy and classical music.
Sometimes its nice to have no lyrics and just good classical music - Pachelbel, some Mozart, Grieg, Elgar ....
This lot are worth a listen, a local band from where I used to live up north

I thought all they played in France was Johnny Halliday.Humm, I have Nostagia on as background. So sounds of the 60/70/80s. Problem is, they have to play 40% of French stuff and I have difficulty noticing if it is old or new.. Except for Francoise Hardy, corrr..
In the car, one of those old CD players with 6 discs in the boot. So, Dylan, Fleetwood Mack, JJ Cale, occasional Reggae. Stones. Rap is the pits. Must be stuck in a rut, but I like lots of stuff, just, if you asked me who it was, I would have no idea. Grew up in the 60s, so Hendrix ( I went to one concert of his) and most of the bands of the time. Clapton is a god. Kinks, Alan Price..
As an aside: one is always linked to the stuff that was on while one was learning about life. Bl**dy H*ll, forgot the Beatles...
