EWM connection doubt. Help!

Black and White wires from the torch.
Connect to Pins 1 & 2 on the ewm plug.

Shine a light in the end of the plug and you will see the pin numbers.

Do NOT connect any of the other wires.

The button in the torch is removable.
Let me know if you want to swap that rotary switch out for a single bigger button version.

Then why do red and black gave me continuity when I pressed the button?
Yes I would like to swap the rotary button because I am not going to use it. Do you have any 2 buttons one?

If thats the case just get a torch button off ebay that has 2 wires and connect then to the relevant pins...thats what I have done on my tig for when im not using the pedal

Maybe just try bridging pins 1 & 2 on the welder socket without the torch plugged in and make sure the welder is firing up first

The welder is triggering!
I did what Hotponyshoes suggested. The pins making the EWM trigger were the A and B pins (tuchel connector).
Then I realised that I was wiring the torch pins wrong!
So I did it correctly (A&B) with the cables that Hood told us (red and black). I soldered the black on the A pin (as EWM diagram indicates with that "0v") and voilà! Triggering!!
I will try the machine this evening for the first time, it's a little portable machine but it has a lot of functions and settings.
I will post this evening how it's working.

PS: Hotponyshoes I have sent you a message, if you want the button with the rotary function I will be happy to swap it for the one you have with just a button.

I have been reading the EWM instructions carefully, because I am a rookie as you know. I didn't start welding with this machine until I have understood every single concept in the manual.

The square tube on the photos is a 2.5mm wall thickness.

Slope down 3.5secs
Post flow 4secs
Bottle:
Argon flow 7l/min
Torch:
Gas lens pyrex glass No.7
1.6mm blue tungsten
