Heating oil increase this morning

Carrs Billington Al; I always used Johnstone Wallace so when Carrs took them over I just continued. I ring about for quotes sometimes but they’re never better than a few pennies a litre so just stay where I am.

Yep Johnstones, always beat the Carlisle prices !

I'm glad i got my 3500l winter top up when the prices where just sub 50ppl. Seems i made the right choice this year as the prices are creeping upwards slowly now

I imagine we're right on the cusp of actually starting using it in anger about now? If it weren't for the sunny days we've had again the past few days, I think we would be struggling for hot water and would have put some kind of heating on if living in a cooler shady spot.

That's what I thought last year, but then the prices seemed to stay almost static from summer to Christmas. I don't remember it being a lot warmer last year - i lit the Rayburn at the end of September (so about now) and it was on until the end of April this year.
