How much should a genuine set of 150mm mitutoyo digital calipers cost?
I see them advertised around 30 quid but seems a bit cheap for what ive always been told was a good quality reliable bit of kit.
As an aside, any other brands to look at?
I have cheap calipers that are repeatable but not as accurate as I'd like (will measure the same every time, but can be anything from 0.4-0.1 either side of the actual dimension) and some slightly better ones but they arent branded and occasionally will just add 30mm to the actual dimension... i have relatively decent micrometers, but want a good set of digital calipers I can rely on for general lathe work, accurate measuring of stuff I cant get micrometers Into or are too big for my largest (100mm) micrometers.
Mitutoyo was what I used as an apprentice and was always told they were the dogs so surprised at the lower prices for them
