What's the recommended feeds and speeds for hair?Fair few rpm in that machine I’ll wager.
Fair play to those who can create a machine accurate enough to make a decent job of engraving / machining anything on to a hair. Just holding the job is going to be a challenge in itself.
I remember a couple of years ago encountering a 0.05mm drill and thinking that was small enough...

Bae site in basildon where I worked was a world centre of engineering excellence from the 1950’s to 2018my bro inlaw worked for BAE....the enginners had a long running thing with the American equiv.....
back and forth stuff went untill the smallest drill made was sent to the UK......
The UK lads sent it back......THe Americans said u'v just sent our drill back.....
They were told to look at it again......we'd drilled holes in it.....
