This may not be the correct forum for this question, however I know there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on here.
These aluminium castings are the bearing carriers from a differential. The left hand one was corroded into the cast-iron housing. When it eventually came out, both the threads and part of the body were damaged. These are no longer available. A replacement could be taken from another diff, they come up regularly at about £450.00.
The question is, can it be economically repaired. And if so how and where? They are very light so could easily be posted somewhere.
