no , not at all , if your getting it tough on a bit of stainless maybe overheated and gone hard , try a masonry bit , breezes through , real life saver if all you have is a hand drill and a bad day.

Ill go look into them.Solid carbide dills are very useful, But prone to chipping the cutting edge, then you do need a green stone or diamond, the Fhrei (sp) drills that I have are virtually ground just like a masonry drill with a much stronger cutting edges with not a lot of top rake,, They came in a nice metal case, Got mine at the end of a three day show and managed to negotiate two sets for the price of one.!!
