Before I can do anything I needed to swap over a 32A supply for a 16A standard machine supply outlet. Just meant putting in a longer 16A (2.5mm) SWA so I could move an unnecessarily large 6mm SWA, all three phase gear.
This is how I was shown how to terminate SWA. Cut around the cable and nick the armour wire all around the cut.
Slice off the outer sheath.
The nicked ends of the armour can be wiggled off neatly.
Trim back just enough of the sheath to slide the clamp fixing under the armour.
Tighten
Fit the retaining clamp.
Jobs a goodun.
OR, curse your luck and rip everything off to fit the boot and do it again*...
*sorry to all my haterz, that didn't happen (this time)
