You're still gonna need leccy in the end for both
Nope. Corded skilly vs cordless no way the cordless is better.I’ve gone cordless with a Milwaukee 18v as well as some 12v. I was that impressed with the cordless that I sold off the corded gear I had to full cordless.
On the tools you mention. Multitool/cutter I never had one until I went cordless so can’t compare it to corded. I can say they’re great and wish I’d had long before.
The Circular saw M18 Fuel 165mm performs better than my previous corded 190mm has one.
The jigsaw again performs better than the corded B&D one. Auto speed control is great for plunge cuts or generally just starting cuts to avoid the blade jumping. I also went for body grip instead of the traditional D grip and it feels much more natural.
It’s a big investment but jobs are much quicker without faffing about with cords.
I think it depends on how long you expect to keep something and how long you thing the manufacturer will supply replacement batteries.
The lifetime is shorter now that they're using lithium ion batteries as copies seem to be variable quality and it's in the manufactures interest to change battery design every few years to force users to buy new kit.
Use the same on an old tracksaw skilly tiger saw and drill. Better than stock now.The manufacturers may change the battery design but our Chinese entrepreneurial friends will make adapters. I have an old DeWalt nail gun, push in nicad type battery and use an adapter so I can use slide on lithium batteries.
Are DeWalt/Milwaukee interchangable.Just looked out of interest and you can even get inter make adapters, no idea how reliable such a device would be:

Dual fitting suggests notm
These aren't too bad. Bit bulky for drills but on top mounts like skillys you dont even noticeI wouldn't bother with adaptors 2 bulky and heavy for all day use
It is great mate battery life is really good too. Supprising a 9ah battery lasted all day. Saw is sturdy and easy to carry with the built In handles that double up as the rests for timber.@123hotchef How you getting on with your Milwaukee chop/mitre saw?
Aye. Wet wood. The m18 skill saw eats batteries 100x100 posts 5ah battery dead after cutting 10 posts
Yeh wet posts bloody heavy when they are soaking too. This blade was new well only a few posts cut previously.Aye. Wet wood.
Ripping down timber gravel boards along the length last week. 5ah battery for 3 boards.
Blunt blade though. Nut has seized up
