started to modify the 2 inch SU carby for blow thru operation
you have to equalise the float chamber with boost pressure ,so blank the wee vent hole and make up a barb fitting and drill and tap the float chamber to fit it , there is a small back nut ,as the chamber is only about 2mm thick i used an old throttle cable adjuster with a barb soft soldered into it
i made a flame trap between carb and manifold out stainless mesh domed like a tea strainer to miss the butterfly on full open
this Davy lamp technology was used on merlins on the inlet manifold it prevents backfires
setting fire to the carb and it ,helps vapourise the mixture it has very little effect on restricting the flow
next have to plumb carb to turbo !
and get a rising rate fuel regulator
