That looks like you did it with a poor trainerIf its anything like the IOSH one I did, it was a waste of the companies money and time.
Unless you already do it as a job I doubt 4 days would be any use mine was one day a week for 16 weeks, even then I think two failedI’ve been thinking about it. Boss was talking about fast track option, 4 days or something. Don’t fancy that option, I like a bit of time to research the learning material.
It doesnt garuntee employment, it is more an additional skill to boulster up your cv, with a health and safety addition. My son in law is considering taking the course at a cost of£800, is he wasting his money? What are the chances of employment assuming he passes the exams?
If you want a job in safety its well worth having. I was in a job I hated but had an interest in safety, It got me a day off for 16 weeks so I asked if I could go on it, what a shock at how hard it was! When I went for other hands on Engineering roles they where all very impressed I had it, but unless you have an interest in safety forget it as it was the hardest exam I have ever done, it can be so diverse. My son in law is considering taking the course at a cost of£800, is he wasting his money? The next job I got have always given me lots of safety related stuff to do but I don't mind as it interests me.
He needs to ask has he enough underpinning knowledge? I would suggest the IOSH first as a taster as the NEBOSH was 20 times harder
Some excellent adviceit's a lot of time & effort which if you're not in a Safety related job the knowledge can soon become dated due to changes in legislation although it gives an excellent grounding
if you're not committed to the amount of study involved give it a miss It's a respected qualification it looks good on a CV
