I'm trying to move away from the traditional approach of storing fasteners in old paint/baccy tins and coffee jars and get myself organised with some racked bins. I also want to keep a selection of common sizes on hand rather than buy them in as and when I need them.
I understand it is probably very dependant on what projects you work on - but does anybody have suggestions for their most often used metric bolts and set screw sizes?
I'm thinking 100 of each of the most handy sizes is probably a good starting point.
For example, I seem to get through a lot of M6x20 and M8x40 - I know I could always cut longer ones down but that isn't always practical.
Also, does anybody have any recommendations on where to go for them as well? Orbital Fasteners seemed to have better prices than Beal for the most part.
