Everything you need in one (pretty expensive) box...

Just to revisit this again - no we don't but I should explain better and I'll try to post a photo or two later to help.Do you use backing gas or a purge box on the inside? That would help.
Thank you so very much. This is very helpful indeed - the help this forum has given me over the years has been invaluable. You need to properly prepare your spot welder tips so that they are smooth faced and parallel to each other at the point of welding, move the spot weld away from the folded corner and you wont need to clean it at all, if you must clean it use nothing more than scotchbrite pads, red followed by green, that sanding disk is just scratching it,
And that fused edge is pretty gruesome looking, much too hot and has poor gas coverage, someone needs to learn how to set up and handle a tig torch before attempting a job like that, I would weld that and hardly discolour it at all, a stainless steel rotary wire brush used in a drill can be very useful on this kind of work,
This is incredibly helpful. Thank you. I guess ‘getting in’ the angle of the fold might be tricky but I’ve got to try this one!!These are the brushes I use, once you have used one you'll wonder how you managed without, but use it in a drill, NOT a die grinder, they are far too fast and not only become dangerous but create heat through friction.
