The big CNC plasma tables - how is the gantry linear movement supported?
I mean on my way smaller machine I've got blocks in rails with recirculating balls, etc. but I have in mind that the large plasma tables have a way simpler setup?
The reason why I'm asking -
Someone has asked me to build a device requiring a table to move back and forwards, under load. I was thinking some u section and some sort of castor, but it's probably better that I just copy what the CNC plasma tables do, as it's basically the same problem.
Thank you,
Julian
