When I first moved to NZ (2009) the RNZAF were still using the Irquois helicopters, since replaced by the NH90. I saw five in an arrowhead formation come over once, just amazing - the windows rattled and you couldn’t hear anything but the chopping blades of those machines!
A tiger moth came over the other week - I initially thought it was a lawnmower!
I heard the noise, grabbed my camera and went outside but they were already banking round in the distance, then they were gone.
Is that a Huey?
I''l be hanging out the bedroom window to watch them tooSaturday I shall be opening the doors of my hangar for the BBMF again. 2 Spits, one Hurri and we'll be leaving the Lanc outside.
I doubt much work will get done, again.
There might be some more as it's Forces weekend.Had a Dakota circling over head yesterday, and the Red Arrows on Friday afternoon/evening.
