Hey fellas,
I’ve a car here where seam sealer was damaged at the bottom of an arch when some welding was done on the RTA pocket.
On this particular car it’s extrenely thick and I’ve not intention of starting to remove it all. Instead I removed a segment at the bottom with a wire wheel and the metal was pristine.
I intend to give this area a layer of some epoxy mastic and then I want to blend seam sealer into the area to match the existing seam sealer which is visible under original blue overspray.
My question is can new seam sealer by applied over existing seam sealer? Would rubbing the existing sealer with with sad paper be required to key it to increase ashesion?
It will get a coat of body colour paint when finished
Thanks
