Hello.
I build 2 stroke exhaust systems for 6 years, mostly stainless. I do mostly low power tig welds like 4/5 hours a day of welding.
I usually weld like 5/10 min then need to get up to other processes and return again for weld.
I always try to weld with full sleeves shirt and use ventilation or activated carbon mask, but I feel very confortable using normal working gloves that are covered with black nitrile coating, they are not very thick and provide alot of abrasion resistance good for other parts of the job and they go under the shirt sleeves. I cant see little to any light passing throught them in front of strong bulb but nobody can tell me if UV can't pass. I have noticed my fingers sometimes the skin peel a little maybe where is more exposed but it seems to occur when the gloves are old too and good to replace but without being cutted yet.
Should I only use welding gloves? Or do nitrile coatings protect from UV?
Thanks
