I've been asked by a friend of my wife if I can build a frame for an art commission she has.
Pricing up materials is easy, but as this would be the first quote I've had to put together I have no idea how to factor in costs for consumables, depreciation of kit (or even my time!) etc, let alone profit margins.
As it's ultimately for a proper paying client, but through a friend's business, it also feels more complicated to quote.
Any thoughts?
