Hello Forum,
my name is Dominik, I'm from Switzerland, and my patient is a Kistool Powermig 200 from 1988, built by Migatronic for the Swiss market.
My machine has the same problem as Jaak had with his. Here is the link to his thread:

Like his, I have a problem with the board, pictures attached. I've replaced all capacitors with same value ones, I think even the same make - therefor it looks like they're unchanged, but they actually are new.
And just like Jaaks' ceramic resistors, mine were disintegrated due to age / fatigue.
Originally, they were MΩ , but due to availability, I've replaced them with Vitrohm type 208-8 resistors.
The lower one near the edge is a 208-8 R12 10%, meaning it is a 0.12 Ohm resistor with 5 Watts.
But what is the upper one? The upper one on my machine keeps burning thru, so I cannot read the print on it anymore. You see the burning on my pictures, I used a Dremel with a wire wheel to grind the charring off.
At this time, I've replaced the upper resistor several times, and currently, the wire feed motor speed cannot be adjusted. The motor turns for 2 seconds, but always at the same speed.
I must say: I've never tried welding !
The 2 second problem - I was told - is due to the machine sensing no spark... True?
No idea if just the speed cannot be adjusted, or else, it won't even weld. I've never bought a bottle and regulator, only a ground cable and a wire package from Abicor Binzel.
Yes, the machine was meant to be discarded, so the ground wire was cut off on the outside, so with the little stubble that was left inside of the machine, I installed a 13mm standard connector. I think this shouldn't be the problem though, since the machine was discarded as defective.
Can please, please anybody help me further?
Kind regards,
Dominik
