I bought one and tried it. It used about four times more sand than a dry blaster but apparently they work better with a more powerful pressure washer.

only any good if u haven't a good air supply and decent gear otherwise u wouldn't want one

I borrowed one off of a friend and used it on an axle case, I was impressed with it. Keeping the sand dry is the hardest bit, he kept his sand in a 20ltr drum and the feed hose was a good fit through a hole in the lid. It worked well because there is not a lot of suction hose so it keeps the medium dry but close. When he used it at home he did all his blasting in one of those kiddies paddling pools to contain all the mess.

I was going to blast the calipers before painting, I have air not sure enough for proper blasting

If you do use one have it set so that the sand feed hose it at the top to stop any water when you stop from running back into the sand hose and blocking it with damp sand. Also yo need VERY dry sand (kiln dried) £5 to 6 a bag rather than the £2 for ordinary sand. When you pause between trigger pulls, point the nozzle down again to stop water running back. You will find that you have to pull sand feed hose of from time to time to remove damp sand block at nozzle end. Plus points are no big compressor required, no dust, no breathing kit req (just a face shield). Minus fair size washer needed, damp sand every where (do it on the lawn!) wet gear recommended. Be aware of flash rusting as metal will be damp! (think some industrial user use an additive). You may find a better price than that link. Some people try them (and pay ££'s), don't get on with them and flog them off. I got mine from Wicks when they were clearing them out (not selling well?).

just remember the nozzle after the sand is drawn in will need to be hardened material.

The jet inside the 'sand blaster' needs to be the same size as the original one for the pressure washer to get the best results

There have been some posts saying that wet blasters don't entirely stop the free silica so they are not as safe as people think. When I used mine I was still getting dry sand on my clothing. I decided I'm only using it when I have no other options.

its only a hazard if its been blasted dry and powdered down. if blown sand was that bad no one would be alive at the seaside or be able to do block paved drives

Forget wet sand blasting full stop
Why?
Well unless you tarp/cover the area your cleaning it takes forever to sweep up wet sand,its a nightmare trust me
Another thing is unless you've got an industrial PW with a high flow rate(mine was 20ltrs PM),you'd be better off throwing the sand at it by hand,as your mickey mouse B&Q PW wont work.
When i was doing high pressure cleaning i invested in a good setup,yer it can strip the skin off you,but cleaning up took forever,wasn't so bad in the summer,but winter,well

And as his nibs ^^^^ said up there the risks are far lower when its wet than dry

ok I have forgoton all about the wet sand idea!

next I used the lidl sand blaster on my calipers today it did the job but for me it did not seem powerful enough, I mean u could hold your hand under the nozzle and it barley stung

That's not usually a safe way to test as you should be lacking some skin now !
Think you have a low air pressure/flow

the destructions said max 6.3bar I made that 90 psi I did try a bit more but it didnt help, I am thinking poo sand blaster
