Bench Drill

I need a decent bench drill but I dont want to pay a lot probably upto about £150.

I have been looking on forum and saw a lot of recomendations for second hand meddings or similar, but I havent seen anything suitable on ebay.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a decent new drill

Or where I can get a second hand one.

I need it quite quickly as I have about a million holes to drill in 6-8mm bar and I don't want to do them with a cordless.

I'm in north lincs BTW.

A decent one will come up sooner or later on eBay, or you could buy a very cheap small one (Aldi/Netto/etc.) and be prepared to scrap it/sell it on after that job.

Hi.

Yesterday I picked up a Startrite pillar drill that I had won on fleabay, I have seen them go for £200+ but I won it for £67, it works fine but the wiring was tired so for safety sake I have renewed it all. It is a well made bit of kit and in good condition, came complete with 13mm jacobs chuck and key and also fitted with a swarf guard, so they are about, as said keep looking, it came from an engineering firm who were down sizing their operation.

Remember, you can do small work in a big lathe but you can't do big stuff in a small one.
