If you do the PAT test course it is more than testing.

If the power lead is removable then the test label must be on one end of the cable. If it is missing you are to assume it is not tested.
My father once found a 3-pin 240v cable on a site with 3-pin plugs on both ends of a long extension cord. Enough to give you nightmares!

My mate had a mobile disco and he had a domestic 3 pin plug on each end of a cable in order to supply power to his name box so it could be removed for packing away if he forget and pulled the wrong plug first he often got a belt from it, this was years ago and the worse thing is a spark did it for himMy father once found a 3-pin 240v cable on a site with 3-pin plugs on both ends of a long extension cord. If the cable is removable, my mistake, it is tested separately and will get its own sticker and number.
The machine will be tested and it should be noted what number test lead was used on it.
The replacement lead should be tested and noted in the Log.
