I often need to visit a certain EU aircraft factory. Not too different to that - but I guess the aircraft come off the line a bit slower. Strictly no photos unfortunately.

A work mate went from auto industry to possibly the same aircraft factory and said they turn out one every couple of weeks. Compare that to JLR where our building turns out a car every 90 seconds!.

We ordered a new Audi a few weeks ago and, while it wheels its way through the manufacture process, you get a new video at each stage. According to these videos, the Ingolstadt plant receives 1,700 tons of raw materials to be turned into 410,000 parts that will comprise 2,800 new Audis every day!

Our assembly building turns out about 900 RR & Disco's a day, not sure how many they turn out in the Jaguar assembly building, probably a similar amount, they're still talking about bringing a 3rd assembly building on line.

Ah yes, no pictures............... I definitely didn't take any when I was at a certain one in Marcei

Although we were allowed to take pictures of the new H160 as we were there for it's unveiling.

900 a day at one plant, three plants equal over 2500 .. A DAY I struggle to comprehend those figures and where the hell they all go...M25?

No, my figures were for one out of two assembly buildings on the Solihull site, there is also Jaguar at Castle Bromwich and Halewood building Disco sports & Evoques!

Talking of build figures, I installed some press tending robots at an aerospace factory on a new line that was designed to turn out a missile casing every six minutes, 24 hours a day, who uses that many missiles?.
