Portable garage, aka CSI

Mate has lent me his portable garage so I can sort out the truck prior to selling it.

Not sure the neighbours are impressed - they probably think there's been a murder and this is a forensic tent

It's a very sturdy design - all galv posts, around 50mm diameter posts, but we've also tied it down, just in case!

Now I just need to learn how to "do bodywork"

hope you have better luck with condensation than I'm having with mine at the minute, I've only got a car bonnet in mine but I've recently gone in and the surface of the bonnet has been wet. I dont think will be as bad when the weather warms up though

The Machine Mart ones are grey. Built well and not so expensive if you can catch one of their special offers, or the VAT free events. I have a 20' model that has been up nearly two years. Only real negatives are the poor seams on the front and back sheets. They are glued not stitched and they come apart. If buying another one, I would stitch around the seams.

Aah, I wondered what snow looks like. It has been cold down here though, yesterday I had to put a jumper on .

You need to be using white disposable coveralls in that tent.

I've asked - it was an ebay seller, and substantially cheaper than the Machine Mart variants. Think it was around £140 for the 6m x 3m one - will post a link when I get it.

Yeah - that's a bit of a concern, so might have to wait a bit before looking at painting. See next response!

Yep - seems to be quite thick, very strong tarp. My mate forgot about his roof rack and drove into it - ripped a couple of eyelet seams (as you would expect) but no major damage.

Looks like the boy sold 1271 so at £149 that's £189k - not bad for a couple of containers shipped from China
