Just thought if anyone finds any tool related Black Friday deals they could share them here.

Spotted this on amazon at £28.99 not sure they are usually that cheap.

Just as the new years day sales are now scams, many retailers make more profits from the new years sales than they do the rest of the year; often they buy in tat especially for the sales in Summer and store it for the sales.

There you go again, with your conspiracy theories and your assertion that "the internet" backs up your paranoid theories.
Rather than telling us that Google will prove your point, can you direct us to accepted sources that will back you up?

Give me any topic, the more bizarre the better, and I can provide you with thousands links that will "prove" that assertion.

What radio [station]? And what was their scientific basis for this mathematical assertion?

Retail in the UK is heavily regulated and all vendors have to bear in mind a) their statutory obligations to operate within the law and b) the reputational risk of lying or exaggerating and being found out.

To your assertion, UK resellers are bound by both the UK Pricing Practises Guidelines (link) and the Advertising Standards Authority's approach to these guidelines. Both show that an approach that you would suggest is followed by "92% of the alleged sales items" would be in breach of both the ASA and the Government's Pricing Practises Guidelines.
That's not tenable - these companies, ranging from John Lewis to Amazon to Apple to your local corner shop have far more vested interest in the other 364 days in the year that are not Black Friday to risk their reputation or any fine.

Mee; you have a habit of stating that "The Internet" says and that "Most (insert topic) are..." without any credible evidence to back up your opinion. Without that credible evidence we are only left with the fact that it is your opinion. Which makes a tedious and pointless argument.
Please stop. None of it is earth-shatteringly important, but it's becoming annoying.

I don't get the advantage to some types of retailers for black friday myself, since we just hold off purchasing anything for a few weeks near the period so it must depress sales in advance somewhat too.
We were needing some new computer parts and put off buying them because its black friday this week and sure enough, 45% cheaper so now a big batch of exceedingly cheap ssd's are winging their way here to be used in a contract they were needed for if they were on sale or not. I also took up a offer from a provider due to lapse in a weeks time to renew for 50% the normal price for today only (and its a price difference of quite a few hundred pounds...), and they're great value for money at full price to start with but we always renew at their sale price. We're waiting for the coffee pod friday sale terms that fit our machine because we put off buying some a few weeks ago for this very reason.
Maybe I'm just a tightwad mind.

a few years ago I bought a powerfile off ebay, the guy I bought it off bought it off amazon and had it shipped straight to me. and I still havn't bought anything off amazon to this day. I guess some things are cheaper on there than ebay.

Amazon is great for returning stuff and if something is amazon sourced if you have prime you can have it next day and discounted shipping and if its not as described they take it back and pay for the return no quibble. I use both but I much prefer Amazon for new stuff. And we don't pay for prime either, every so often they offer a free extended trial to one of the family or one of the company emails, and since my broadband is so laughably slow I dont use it for netflix offers or the like that I'd need a continual prime sub for.
Though you'll find better deals elsewhere, as an example (I didnt partake in) microsoft france are selling the xbox one console for 199e inc delivery, and Amazon France have the same model for 239e today.

Started by Amazon in 2010, but at first came under the USA rules of sales etc etc.
2011 was made to comply to EU and BS and UK trading rules.
2016 predicted to me best year for on line sales to date.

I mean it is black Friday and shops were offering up to 60% of things.

I went to one shop, nothing.

Less than naff all.
