Ha ha you know I did think about it but thought that was ott. Not sure yet I don't have that much time to spend on little details at the mo. The fact it's up and running is a bonus lol.You gonna tiger stripe it to match the Rehm pal?
Could do it in opposite colours, look well nice.

Only if you use the dedicated pumps designed for it. I've built on shower and caravan pumps which can be picked up used for a lot less. I pulled this pump out of a cooler that supposedly didn't work. Further investigation showed it was simply blocked so I got it very cheap. Stripped it and built a better one. Thanks, home made cooling isnt a cheap buisness is it!
try her out mate. Might be spot on. Wouldn't take much to hook up 2 lines to a wc torch pump it through into a tub and put her under some current. The 40lpm flow is at zero head with no outlet restrictions. With the max 35m equiv head it'll supposedly hold 3.5bar at zero flow (while it's running).
I suppose the only way to find out is see what it flows through a torch - from exploded diagrams it's the same 'type' of pump as the ceme. No loss if it's unsuitable, it can go back on the shelf.
They are expensive when you don't have a motor to mount on. I doubt you'd get a good procon set up with motor for less than £100-120.Pro-Con type pumps used on beer coolers seem to be easily available, and cheaper than anything welder related.
Over kill is good. It's easily sorted as I say above. Under kill is a problem but by the sound of it your not gonna be suffering that. Tag me in the new thread I'll be reading with interest.I've just found a manual, and it details just using a gate valve on the outlet to control flow - pump still maintains 100% duty.
I'll cobble up some adaptors for the 1" bsp connections and start a new thread![]()

Well just cos some plonker sold you one well under value doesn't mean they are cheap. A new procon pump and motor (basic low pressure one) will set you back easy £150 and used they still go for over £100. Don't believe me??? Link me to one that's cheap!!!!!Got one complete with motor last year Ebay £25. Parts are available for pumps as well. A used beer cooler will provide almost all the parts needed for welding cooler, and might even be able to be used alone if looks not a problem.
