Grinding in tight corners

Can anyone suggest please what I should use to be able to grind in tight 90 degree 3mm steel box sections.. I've a Dremel which seems to struggle with the 3mm steel stock I've also an angle grinder with flap wheels but it's really difficult to get it into the corner properly, so I tend to get a rounded angle rather than the desired sharp one required..

I would suggest that a decent die grinder with a pointed stone is about all you could use?

You can get a sort of make do bar that fits to a normal grinder to do same

If you ain't got dozens to do just use a darn file - everything in life don't need to be electric

I use a 1/4" die grinder with double cut carbide burr bits like abovebrightspark's link

Noods I have a spare air powered die grinder here mate, would you like it? I'd just got one when badger1bear gave me a load of air tooling so it's a duplicate. It's just a wee cheap one but has a nice short body for access. Let me know if you'd like it

Carbide burrs are indeed what you want. Run them fast though, I have been advised that using them slow dulls them so avoid the temptation to keep going until the tool stops as the air supply dies.

It seems there is carbide and carbide

Used stones in the past total pants by comparison

Not something I have now but I have a lot of files

Probably, that seems to apply to the majority of items you can spend money on.
Mine are the overpriced red branded ones (Snap on), they may be rebadged something else but I'm in no doubt they'll be of good quality. Not tried any others.

I bought these ones. Ive ground aluminium, steel and welds with them and they seem like good quality. They dont seem to have deteriorated and still cut well.

Can I also put a vote in for the carbide burrs in a die grinder, they will do lots of jobs no other tool will do, it's amazing how much metal the will move.
But for gods sake wear goggles!! Gloves too, the swarf off them things is evil.
I swear the stuff will crawl up your overalls off the floor and actively burrow into any bare skin it can find.

as suggested above the power files are really useful.

I swapped from air to an electric one (Makita) a few years back and its one of those 'go to' tools

I have a snap on air die grinder I use for tiny jobs, but I also have an electric Makita one, which is the tool of choice for heavy work.

Carbide burrs + googles and gloves is a must!
