looking for seller /ideas for iron fence

im thinking about roaring out front hedge out and getting a wrought iron style fence

would want bolt down posts and maybe a meter or so tall , nothing too ornate as long as it doesnt look like the council fitted it

any ideas for good /well prices sellers or websites

i have been looking on f h brundles site, there is a design catalouge section with some nice ideas in there, dc iron are good for parts too by the look of it, both around the same price from what i can see...will be ordering from brundles next friday when i get paid (because i made the mistake of telling the mrs that i had been shown a site that sold cheap gate and fence components ready to weld on, now she wants stuff made for the front garden...)

and great big heavy ones at that.........must have been a few of them and a lorry........the gates were massive
the fence is only small because its behind a wall......the wall is about 5 feet high and the ground is level with the top

hmmm bit dearer than i thought , looking at £150 ish a meter roughly with posts and fixings

was just an idea as we have a hedge now that i hate cutting , and i thought if i had at least a couple of bolt down posts i could get the car on the front garden if i had to

150 a meter is daft money unless your getting real fancy or pay reps commission and have too many back office staff etc

150 a meter is stupidly high, what sort of thing are you after and how many meters? im not offering to make it but if we all know what you want etc we may be able to get the price down through various people knowledge of the trade

right 9 meter long , plus a garden gate , somewhere 1-1.2 meter high , need posts and fixings

was hoping to buy pre made ,if there was a fool proof kit i guess i could tack it together if it was much cheaper

nothing too ornate , just better /nicer than council spec

FH Brundle 1.13m high , 1.97m long galv panel is £88.00 posts are £14 odd , you wont beat that gates are about £45.00 all plus vat but even so thats cheap

Have a look first though worse than housing association stuff very skinny
Gates are actually quite funny if you blow the pictures up and have a look I think off memory they are 30x6 frame
But cheaper than a softwood gate from our local mass producer

It depends on what he wants really , not too fancy but not Housing association ? gonna have to spend more than £100 per metre !
