I'm ashamed to say not Scott!! We do the control instruments/software and recording gear for their furnaces.

It's always great going there and spending some time just watching how they go about things. How there isn't more accidents I'll never know!!

Nice It's easy to forget that there's sophisticated electronics etc behind all the 20ft tall steampunk kit

Not quite that scale but I've got 3 drop hammers and a blacker... That forging shop is superb stuff.

A place I worked used to send ingots to Sheffield to be forged into billet. I loaded lorries for Firth Derihon at the time and for one or two other forges and unloaded them when they came back and the steel was rolled into profiles and went all over the world from the foundry in Somercotes to Germany and Japan, Kanematsu Gosho was a name I remember. What happened to British industry? British Steel bought the foundry and shut it down in the 70s.
