I'll start,
I used a snooker ball and a big adjustable spanner to install the valves on a GS125 cylinder head.....

A length of steel bar and and a half-brick to adjust the points on a Cortina. Conked out in a lay-by, no tools and that's all I could find lying around.

A length of 2.5 twin and earth to act as an exhaust C clamp puller to change the down pipe on my T4.

A cork a drawing pin and a paper clip, to make an improvised contact breaker arm on a ford Zodiac, it worked well too.

A golf tee to blank off the leak off pipe on a diesel injector on my van,the rubber one had perished and was running badly,warmed a plastic golf tee with a lighter and shoved it the hole,after bleeding the fuel system,she was up and running,got me home

One of my mates fixed a broken exhaust pipe with a butter knife, there were some jubilee clips involved. The gearbox selector popped out of my trucks gearbox, got my 'now' wife to stand on it for a couple of hundred clicks, that worked...
