OCD Alert?

After delays, setbacks and problems I'm finally getting there with the man cave/darkroom/office

Did some on the electrics today, due to one of the aforementioned delays the sockets are surface mounted (I'm ok with this) I ordered sockets the same make, just one has built in USB sockets, but.....

Checking my receipt they have supplied different normal sockets to the ones I asked for

Will I be able to cope with it right in my eye line when I'm at my desk, or am I going back?

well from a guy who needs socket screws with the slots facing the same way i think you know my answer

I tend to buy ones with covers to avoid it, and I'm in no way looking at the ones in the lounge right now

I'd be more worried about them not being fitted bang on the line

I'd be more bothered by the fact they are not straight going by your pen line?

The line was done when measuring up for the desks and units, it's not actually level but the boxes are, the line will be painted over

but the line will always be there under the paint and its not level

but have u had a spirit level on them

Can you not see my Stabila in the pic? (First tool I bought during my apprentiship, they supplied basic hand tools)

i can see it but it didnt draw the line on wall level

...check your foundations mate,the line might be level but the house might be out ..best to double check

Does the elastictrickery still come out ok if they're not level, or does it alter the voltage balance?

14 years of use and abuse so maybe not

My spirit level was always inaccurate until I found it had been fitted with a metric bubble instead of an imperial one.

The Stabila is what I judge all other levels by, including my comedy 2.8m I used to use for stupid big rads

Does the elastictrickery still come out ok if they're not level, or does it alter the voltage balance?

The output voltage on the right hand socket will be slightly less as it has to go up a small incline before it comes out of the terminals.

I've got a 3' plastic level, Its great, If something isn't quite level just bend the level by hand until it is
