I'm enjoying the learning curve, there is no doubt about that but here are some observations I have made about my short journey so far (mostly very tongue in cheek).
1. That little spool of wire, as soon as you pull the end from the little hole in the spool it will completely unwind its self.
2. I have learned a new dance, it's called "arghh I have welding spatter down the back of my neck" a good jig around the garage helps no end.
3.No matter how excited you get at your first good weld, showing your better half will only result in a blank face and a "very nice dear" as she wonders off. This is completely inverse to the happiness she will then show when you save her enough money for a new pair of shoes/outfit/jewelery when you patch the car up after it failed it's MOT.
4.You unclamp your plate to admire your efforts, place it back down and spend the next 5 minutes wondering why all of a sudden you now cant create an arc, then you realise you need an earth clamp.
Im sure there is much more to come!
