The first two are the dessert in Northern Kurdistan, I was there last summer just before the ISIS thing got a little intersting.
Third and Fifth pictures are an oil rig in the north sea, cant remember which one !
Fourth and Sixth pictures are in the Med, just off the coast of Tel Aviv. I was on the dive boat with the twin cranes. It was imppressive, that thing could lift 4000 Tons. Dive boat had a remotely operated under water sub, i had a go at piloting that

Which installation are you on ?I'm there now! It's still crap being miles away from the pub and the missus! The worst place I ever went to was Yemen, there's nothing like being given your own armed guard and truck

I've had one of those VIP cabins too !!
I find that the Norweigan platforms are always better, rooms good, facilities good, Internet always works and food fantastic.
Last year I spent four weeks on the COSL Rival, flotel. It had 500 on board and nothing short of impressive

i do callouts down southbank and grangetown in middlesbrough and the housing pay someone a tenner to sit in my van while i do the job. im allways tooled up with a claw hammer and a bloody big screwdriver

Those Landruisers in the first two pictures were bullet proof, had run flat tyres and twin fuel tanks. We all carried a grab bag containing some emergency essentials and a special transponder device that started the car. If things didn't go too badly pear shaped each vehicle was supposed to come with a seriously armed body guard.
Upon arrival to camp everyone had to sign an induction to confirm that we would use reasonable force to defend ex pat colleagues if required to do so

the Norwegian cont shelf drilling rigs are much better kitted out than the UKCS rigs in terms of hotel services. The recreational facility's are ten times better

Yeah, the iron man rough neck was broken and had been waiting for parts that didn't arrive on the boat due to bad weather. The string got stuck in the hole and after two days of almost continuous Jarring operations they got it free. After his they didn't want to take any more chances so the tongs came out, I tell you what I've never seen a bunch of guys graft like they did that day
