I've also heard there's bigger container ships being built at the moment

We import far too much in this country, but I don't think it's going to change any time soon.

Built by Hyundai, that firm is bigger than most of us realise.

Bet it don't do the same MPG as my Hyundai, may have the 5 year warranty and free RAC call out though.

Hyundai make the robots used by almost all car manufacturers on their production lines. Great way to annoy audi drivers is to point out their car was technically built by hyundai

Off topic I know, the camera man for the video at the end of the article is a good mate of mine, joined the Beeb as a dispatch rider in the 90's took advantage of all the training offered to him and now does camera, lights, sound and edits (not all at the same time) flys oll over the world for Auntie not bad for a DR.

I'm on a 4x4 forum and we've had two job lots from China.

One was for around 30 snorkels which were £65 delivered from China to yer front door as opposed to ~£300 here. They were excellent and mine has survived assault from numerous tree branches in the last 2 1/2 years.
The other was around 20 x 9 ton winches, complete with wireless remote control, for £220 to the door. Admittedly these came with steel ropes which are bl**dy dangerous so many people have spent another £100 on a plasma rope, but they are still half the price of "Western" equivalents. That was this time last year - all have been fitted, all have been used (I got towed out of the mud by one of them on 27th Dec!) and I haven't heard of any faults in the 12 months that we've had them.

So, lord knows, I'm living proof that not all Chinese imports are 100% trouble free, but if you're willing to put the effort into a group buy then the kit can be pretty good, and at a good price too.

I am devil's advocate though - that's the good news. I'll offer a balanced opinion once I know whether my plasma cutter is going to get any better
