For some unknown reason after working all day my shaper started making the trips go on start up yesterday evening, Same again today so I checked it for anything obvious but all good. So I then tried the lathe and that now does it too!
Last year it used to sometimes happen around early evening time, but I cured that by removing the 'weatherproof' socket on the outside of the shed wall, which was half full of condensation, this was spurred off the w/shop ring, I assumed this cured it because it lowered the 'total leakage' the trips would tolerate.
The workshop in supplied by a spur off the house CU to a second CU in the w/shop, all inside so no water probs, this supplies a ring main with numerous double sockets and a dedicated socket for the welder, all professionally installed.
The w/shop and the main trip (in the meter tails) go at the same time..the power comes in overhead lines.
Just a wee bit peed off now! Any ideas would be gratefully welcomed and appreciated!
