i have a drawing for the frame of a competition spec go kart if you want to try and use that as a base, then add a roll cage type frame on top, big wheels and a decent rear axle, steering system off an old mini works well apparently and a motorbike engine will give plenty of fun. Even something like a 2 stroke 250 would be ok if you keep the weight of the frame down
Katooms (KTM) are the gods of power band adjustability these days, you can go from 4banger power to CR500 loon with different weight springs, with adjustable preload for the intake. Had a go on a band new 2014 KTM300 the other day. I had arm pump just going through the gears. Mental Hoot!!
ah the proper lunatic buggy. I would get some pics of a rage and start from there. I personally would use a 600cc and turbo it, just to be a bit different. Easily double the bhp with a decent turbo
anything you want. Something with indepentant rear would be nice but a live axle isn't a bad thing on a buggy, plenty if tail slides. Depends a bit on where it will be driven. Terrain and so on
ah, you wont be having me on this build then, in in south wales lol. There are more people on here with more experience of this than me though, ive only made one, and it was very rough round the edges
