migtronic information??? 180mx

hi folks , first post so please be gentle with me!!
iv just purchased a migtronic automig 180 mx , as a non runner , the board has burnt out , im looking for information such as a manual , parts list etc and a supplier to either recon my board or supply a new one any ideas??????
ive searched this forum and found a link to migtronic but the website is not working, ive found a www.migtronic.com but that is only a page of links to welding suppliers etc does anyone know migtronic's real web address????

They're based in Leicester so not too far from you, I found them very helpful when I needed a manual for my 180 - which I've got as a pdf, if you want something to look at before Monday pm me your email address and I'll send it to you.
I've just noticed you've missed the 'a' out of migatronic - maybe that's why you couldn't find the website??

oooppps stoopid me !! it is migatronic ,the machine is in the back of my car and a little mucky so i couldnt see the a !
i'll have a copy of the manual if you dont mind thanks , something to look at over the weekend , untill ispeak to migatronic on monday.

Whaddaya mean!...cheeky . Yeah I'm on single ph with it, seemed to cope well with the very thick stuff (up to 30mm) I used on the dog piece, only used it once since as I seem to have got caught up with a million and one other jobs. As I have nothing to compare it with - other than my inverter stick, which I hadn't used for years (it must be 15 yr old and still looks like new ) - I can't say how it compares but I found it real easy - but then maybe that's cos I'm naturally skilled - being a lass

Did a 185 manage to weld 30mm ok? you must have had some serious beveling to do - or were you just sticking things together?
I like the dog, it would look great outside our place. I'll swop you the dog for a load of rusty old crap so you can work your magic and transform it into a piece of artwork!?

Good stuff Paul. The duty cycles are poor on the smaller amperage machines, due to their aluminium windings, but they perform great & are generally nice quality machines.

Would be careful about just putting a new board in why has the board blown in the first place? where are you based? I am in cost del Mansfield if you are close would be worth our service guy to have a look (free estimate) weldequip is right the boards are expensive our guy can repair some boards depends whats wrong

thanks for all the replys folks, i bought the machine as a non runner due to the board being burnt out , or so i was told .
ive been down to my works today and had a play with it, put on a new torch (it came without one) pluged her in and she work'ed ish , its got an .8/1.00 wire feed roller so i couldnt try it with with wire in , ive only got a small reel of .6 or large 1.2 ,but the wire feed work'ed only after i turn it past 3 on the dial , the gas pipe to the euro connector has split, so a new one req.
i'll put a new roller on and load her up with some 0.8 mm wire and a new pipe on monday and see how she goes, hope the wire feed controller isnt going to be a problem, it might be just muck in the potentiometer?
i'll post up a report when ive had another go at her on monday.

My old man was a really good cricketer and footballer. He could never work out how I could be so useless with a ball. But then again, he's always impressed by the stuff I make, as he wouldn't have a clue where to start.
But me too on the art. Although I was involved in forming a fantastic incidental creation with some alcathene pipe the other day which could have happily graced the exhibition halls of the Tate Modern.

Just the same with me - me old fella loved football, played for all the local teams etc - he spent years trying/forcing me to like football, and then trying to hide his shame when he saw me play in the local school team. Having said that, he is totally useless with any sort of tool/diy/making anything, so at a young age i was the one who did all the diy round the house. We sort of had a understanding, i would fulfill his role as diyer, and he wouldnt pester me about sport. His dad was an engineer, so i think it must skip a generation - No doubt when/if i have a son it'll wanna play football! I'll disown it is it does!

I'm just the same Si & Paul. My dad loved football, he was a huge Newcastle United fan, me I can't stand it. He couldn't even scratch his @rse with a spanner though and all I've ever done is mend things or make things. I'm definitely not a chip off the old block. The only thing we ever had in common is a loathing of gardening!

My grandfather, on me moms side, was the practical one, so the skipping a generation holds (not statistically but), and my sister and my granny both wear frocks, so that's got to be right.

And I can understand why anyone would hate Newcastle United.

Hi Ratty, Is it possible that you could email me the same Migatronic 180 manual, please.
My problem is that the wire feeds permanently when machine is turned on. The speed control works perfectly. There is nothing wrong with the torch lead - the problem seems to be on the circuit board that controls the feed.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
